Testimonials
Dear Linda,

Words cannot describe what a wonderful stay we have had here. Made all the sweeter for me having been house bound for so long. There must be something in the Devon air as I managed to do more here than I have done in so long. The children just loved the animals, the other children and the Play Area. Everything is so well organised, tidy and well equipped not to mention safe! and to have so much on your doorstep. We cannot wait to come back again.

Had a lovely time, very beautiful. Very spacious cottage. Have been on lots of walks around the perimeter. The kids have made lots of friends and have enjoyed playing in the Play Area with everyone including Verity and Cordelia. We would definitely come back again.

We've spent a wonderful holiday here. Hiking on local trails and sight seeing in Devon and Cornwall together with a great accommodation in The Hayloft Cottage just made our stay one to cherish.

Lovely relaxing week in beautiful cottage. Loved the goats and other animals. Enjoyed Donkey Sanctuary, Bicton Park and Jacob's Ladder and Charmouth beaches. Great carvery at The Hare and Hounds. Hope to be back one day.

We came here hoping to relax, unwind and spend some quality family time with our 9 month old baby girl. We weren't disappointed and have had a lovely week despite the less than ideal weather. Very pleased with the 'home from home' feel of the cottage, and the peaceful surroundings whilst still being close to the amenities of a town. Keen to return at some point in the future.
A & P A Surrey (Shire Stables - July 2009)

Thanks for lovely accommodation - everything we needed - appreciate dogs are allowed. Beautiful setting, lovely walks and very peaceful. Would like to come again, perhaps off season.

This was a short break for me and my dad (who is terminally ill). Mrs Dillon was so welcoming (thank you for the hug), dad had a relaxing time and we both loved the cottage and local area. Weather was disappointing on the second day but it didn't matter. This will stay a special place for memories of my dad to treasure forever - Thank you!

We have had a lovely break – Thank you. Highlights have been:- the lovely surroundings to the cottage, the farm animals, the great food at the Blue Ball and of course the beautiful beach town of Sidmouth. We have all had a wonderful break, and our 4 year old has especially enjoyed himself. I am sure we will return one day again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in such beautiful surroundings; thanks too for all the excellent facilities and welcome. Even the weather didn't cramp our visit! We praise the lord for his gracious provision for our stay.

What a super find! A totally relaxing family holiday despite the changeable weather. Delightful Duscha and brilliant Boswell captured our hearts. A perfect setting, so close to everything. There has been something for all – children to grand parents – all completely satisfied.

Thank you for a lovely weekend. The cottage was so clean and well looked after, it was a pleasure.

A first time in The Granary but second visit to Boswell Farm Cottages. Very comfortable accommodation, ideal for local walks and visiting further afield. Castle Drogo is well worth visiting. A great week. The cream tea and welcome pack have been much appreciated.

A good time had by us all in this tidy, wisteria clad home. Turn left on to the lane for a pleasant walk past Knowle House into the Harcombe/Paccombe Valley - donkeys abound around Paccombe.
The H. Family Telford (The Granary - May 2009)

We will certainly recommend Boswell Farm to any of our Australian friends visiting England. Very comfortable lovely surroundings and lovely people. Special mention to my friend Duscha.
P & L R. Melbourne Australia (The Granary - April 2008)

Lovely location with great walks for dogs. Good food at the Blue Ball. Branscombe beach worth a visit for wreck of the Napoli and great views. Nice day out to Beer - great food at The Anchor.
J & N H Cheshire (The Granary - August 2008)

Had a lovely week here at Boswell Farm. Weather has been fantastic so lots of places we were able to visit. The beaches of Sidmouth and Beer were our favourites. Around the farm they loved the animals even the geese!, the walks in the field and the play area. My husband also loved the fishing, more for the peace and quiet though!
J. Family Fareham (The Granary - June 2008)

We recommend you do not travel far during a stay for its all here, a path, rolling away from the Hayloft doorstep.
M. M Milford (Hayloft Cottage - May 2008)

Really nice farm and area very enjoyable and well kept. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly come again.

Unfortunately a brief visit this year - the 14th year we have been to Boswell. All have been equally as enjoyable. Like other visitors we drank in the peace, fresh air and beautiful surroundings. As we return to suburbia we will look forward to our return.

Another very pleasant stay. It’s always good to come to Boswell Farm and the cream tea and goodies make a very good and welcoming start.
A & H R. Southsea (Shippen Cottage - April 2008)

A wonderful holiday at ‘Shippen cottage’ starting with a very warm welcome – especially the cream tea. The cottage is in a really pleasant location within the typical English countryside but also close to the seaside. Hope to come again, many thanks.

Boswell Farm is the place to be, sitting and staring at the Green meadow – no prettier place did I see. I come from Devon but moved away, now I am back I would like to stay.
J N. Maidstone (Shippen Cottage - May 2008) Guests: 2007

Our thirteenth visit to Boswell was just as relaxing and pleasant as ever under the caring management of the Dillons. It was not beach weather but the surrounding countryside offers a great deal of walking and the children made new friends at Boswell as well as seeing the animals. We shall look forward to a return visit.
