Grand parents, parents and grandchildren; we all have had a great time. Grandpa tried tennis! Grandma loved Pilates! Parents relaxed and grand children found friends and chased in the field's cut grass. Just great!
Jarvis and Van Etten (The Granary, - May 2011)

What a wonderful place to spend my Mother's 90th Birthday! 22 of us in 4 cottages with a lovely Courtyard for communal gatherings. We haven't even had time to sit in the comfortable chairs in the Granary, but hope to be back sometime! We will certainly reccomend it to our friends.

Edmundson Family - London (Hayloft Cottage - February 2011)

We enjoyed the Shippen Cottage - well equipped, quiet and the littel garden from where we saw squirrels and pheasants. Local walking was most enjoyable - to Harcombe, Sidbury and surrounds, and dear old Sidmouth, the cliffs and the Byes.
Chris & John - Australia (Shippen Cottage - October 2010)

It was very good, I loved the play area and the geese were funny!

The farm is very nice, I like it a lot. The house is very beautiful and cosy. I have past a very good time in Boswell Farm. If we come back to England the next year, I want to come back here.
Ida (age 8) - Spain (Shippen Cottage - August 2010)

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in The Linhay. The house is extremely well-suited to the needs of an active family (and well-conducted dog Jasper!) and the whole environment proved friendly, homely and accommodating in every way. Sidmouth remain the most attractive seaside resort on the South Coast and the proximity of so many great attractions, natural interests and rambling opportunities made Boswell Farm Cottages the ideal holiday venue for us all. Many thanks!
Cathy & Matt - Stevenage (The Linhay - August 2010)

We've all enjoyed staying here - beautiful scenery and company of the two goats just over the fence, keeping us entertained! We've used this as our home away from home whilst being here for Sidmouth Folk week. Close enough to make a trip into town/beach, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet in this idyllic location. We hope to return again...
Madeleine, Alan, Janice & Doreen - Swindon (Shire Stables - August 2010)

Lovely time again at Boswell Farm (3rd time!)...can't believe what a sun trap it is in this part of Devon.
Chris & Anne - Stockport (Shire Stables - July 2010) Guests: 2008, 2009

Our first visit to this part of Devon. Wonderful scenery, weather and of course a delightful cottage to stay in. The area is so unspoilt, very quiet and relaxing, we have really enjoyed our visit. Hopefully we will return!

The Dukes - Twickenham (The Granary - July 2010)

Half term break much needed for all of us. Cold and quite wet some days but as ever peaceful and relaxing - our first stay in Shippen, but our third at Boswell Farm. We had a lot of time in and around the cottage, enjoying the animals and tennis. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Andrew, Jen & Matt - Ealing (Shippen Cottage - February 2010) Guests: 2009

The Linhay cottage at Boswell Farm provided a great base from which to explore this part of Devon. The cottage is lovely and bright. Be sure to try the quieter Sid Road straight south of the road from Boswell to get to Sidmouth over the 'Ford' to the tourist centre. Lovely!
The Lennards - Canada (The Linhay - July 2010)

We came to Boswell Farm for the third time and we again enjoyed every bit of it! There is so much more to do and we are very sad to leave...

Boswell Farm is a very special place. It has something magical, poetic and idyllic that makes me feel comfortable.....I will really miss this place that's for sure!
Andrea (age 11) - Germany (The Granary - May 2010)

The cottage was immaculate and I like the fact that you could recycle easily and the children loved the animals!
Martin & Catherine - Oxfordshire (The Granary - February 2010)

Our stay at Cider House has been wonderful, the weather also. The garden is so pretty, sometimes made leaving it for a day out extremely difficult!....One of the highlights for me was attending Linda Dillon’s Pilates class. Her very airy studio at the Old Kennels is a fabulous location….Our last memory will be sitting on the lakeside bench amid yellow water irises, blue water forget-me-nots, creamy cow-parsley watching the female Mallard and little duckling swimming gently together in the morning light.
Lucia - Hertfordshire (Cider House - June 2010)

I would love to live here. It's bigger than our real house! Our family comes over quite a lot. It's beautiful. Tian, Star, Duscha, Frankie, Womble and the geese are fun, cute and I've seen them all. Thanks.
Molly and Paul Australia (The Linhay - October 2009)

We had a great gathering at Boswell Farm in the four cottages of Shippen, Shire Stables, Hayloft and The Linhay. Mrs Dillon made us so welcome and had arranged tables so that the 17 of us could collect in The Linhay to celebrate the Diamond Wedding - yes, 60 years - of our parents' marriage. It has been a really special weekend for us all and full of such happy memories.
J & N M Wimbledon (Shire Stables - November 2009)

Words cannot describe what a wonderful stay we have had here. Made all the sweeter for me having been house bound for so long. There must be something in the Devon air as I managed to do more here than I have done in so long. The children just loved the animals, the other children and the Play Area. Everything is so well organised, tidy and well equipped not to mention safe! and to have so much on your doorstep. We cannot wait to come back again.
S & J W Berkshire (Mill House - August 2009)

Had a lovely time, very beautiful. Very spacious cottage. Have been on lots of walks around the perimeter. The kids have made lots of friends and have enjoyed playing in the Play Area with everyone including Verity and Cordelia. We would definitely come back again.

J & G H Worcestershire (Shire Stables - July 2009)

We came here hoping to relax, unwind and spend some quality family time with our 9 month old baby girl. We weren't disappointed and have had a lovely week despite the less than ideal weather. Very pleased with the 'home from home' feel of the cottage, and the peaceful surroundings whilst still being close to the amenities of a town. Keen to return at some point in the future.
A & P A Surrey (Shire Stables - July 2009)

This was a short break for me and my dad (who is terminally ill). Mrs Dillon was so welcoming (thank you for the hug), dad had a relaxing time and we both loved the cottage and local area. Weather was disappointing on the second day but it didn't matter. This will stay a special place for memories of my dad to treasure forever - Thank you!

A good time had by us all in this tidy, wisteria clad home. Turn left on to the lane for a pleasant walk past Knowle House into the Harcombe/Paccombe Valley - donkeys abound around Paccombe.
The H. Family Telford (The Granary - May 2009)

We will certainly recommend Boswell Farm to any of our Australian friends visiting England. Very comfortable lovely surroundings and lovely people. Special mention to my friend Duscha.

Had a lovely week here at Boswell Farm. Weather has been fantastic so lots of places we were able to visit. The beaches of Sidmouth and Beer were our favourites. Around the farm they loved the animals even the geese!, the walks in the field and the play area. My husband also loved the fishing, more for the peace and quiet though!
J. Family Fareham (The Granary - June 2008)

We recommend you do not travel far during a stay for its all here, a path, rolling away from the Hayloft doorstep.

Boswell Farm is the place to be, sitting and staring at the Green meadow – no prettier place did I see. I come from Devon but moved away, now I am back I would like to stay.
J N. Maidstone (Shippen Cottage - May 2008) Guests: 2007

Our thirteenth visit to Boswell was just as relaxing and pleasant as ever under the caring management of the Dillons. It was not beach weather but the surrounding countryside offers a great deal of walking and the children made new friends at Boswell as well as seeing the animals. We shall look forward to a return visit.
