The Granary

Parts of The Granary date from the early 1700’s when it was used for storing the grain that was threshed in the 18th Century bank threshing barn* (built 1710) next door.

Beautifully converted into a 4-star holiday cottage, The Granary can comfortably sleep 5 people in 1 triple bedroom and 1 double. Both rooms have en suite facilities. The Tourist Board has recently awarded The Granary its coveted Gold Award, so you can be sure of an extremely comfortable stay here at Boswell Farm!

From the historic courtyard, stable doors lead you into the cottage, which has fitted carpets, television (freeview) with video/dvd, electric heating and a fully equipped kitchen.

The main bathroom has a shower, bath, W.C. and hand basin and is situated on the first floor.

The private garden is at the back of the cottage, and adjoins the farms meadows.

* A bank barn is a style of barn accessible on two separate levels, often built into the side of a hill. The barn here at Boswell Farm is reputed to be the only Bank Threshing Barn still standing on its original stone monastic pillars, and is Grade II listed.
