We will certainly recommend Boswell Farm to any of our Australian friends visiting England. Very comfortable lovely surroundings and lovely people.

Lovely location with great walks for dogs. Good food at the Blue Ball. Branscombe beach great views. Nice day out to Beer - great food at The Anchor.

J & N H, Cheshire

Had a lovely week here at Boswell Farm. Weather has been fantastic so lots of places we were able to visit. The beaches of Sidmouth and Beer were our favourites. Around the farm they loved the animals even the geese!, the walks in the field and the play area. My husband also loved the fishing, more for the peace and quiet though!

J. Family, Fareham

What a beautiful place. Cottages are lovely, well planned and all different. Surroundings are lovely, the Grandchildren enjoyed every moment, so much space to run around. We have spent a lovely time here with all our family. Most enjoyable. Would definitely return here - so peaceful. LOVED IT! Thank you many lovely memories

Carol, John and all the family, Solihull (Mill House, Cider House, The Granary & Shippen)

Enjoyed our stay in the lovely cottage, very comfortable and relaxing. Many thanks for the cream tea and goodies - much appreciated

Mr & Mrs L

We had a very peaceful and enjoyable week. The tennis court is first class. Lyme Regis is a really nice place to visit, as is the Donkey Sanctuary just up the road and Sidmouth itself is a great town. Thank you for the cream tea and bottle of wine for the birthday of one of our party.

The Jackson & Carrick Families

We have had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage in great Devon countryside. Visited Sidmouth and Lyme beaches. The area around the cottages were peaceful and great for our black lab.

We have had a lovely comfortable week . It is a beautiful spot and The Granary was perfect for us. It was also Bruce's first holiday and he loved exploring the fields. Many thanks!

The Trends October 2015

Boswell Farm is spread over 45 acres of pasture, arable land and woodland with the delightful Snod Brook running through its heart.

There is a footpath, with rests, that will take you right around the farm - alongside the brook, over bridges, and through the fields with spectacular views of the Sweetcombe and Sid Valleys.

You might see kingfishers, dragonflies, buzzards, foxes, and other Devon wildlife. Amongst the trees and flowers are ancient oaks, willows, and a whole host of delicate wild flowers.

The tennis court has recently been resurfaced to a very high standard, so for practising your game whilst on holiday Boswell Farm is definitely the place to come.

Tennis racquets are available should you require them.

....and remember, the sea is only 2 miles away if you want to take a refreshing dip afterwards!

A recent and very welcome addition at Boswell has been a small adventure playground for children, making Boswell farm an even more delightful place for them to explore and make wonderful and exciting holiday memories.

Boswell has its own small, serene, natural lake, which is maintained as a natural sanctuary for all kinds of wildlife. It is also well stocked for coarse fishing - a peaceful place to enjoy the beauty of nature and fishing.

There are wooden benches if you just want to take in the calm of the water on a warm Devon evening.

It is the perfect place for an afternoon sitting on the shady bank with a fishing rod or a picnic basket - whichever takes your fancy!

If you should prefer and are an experienced angler, there is even fishing available for brown trout in the Snod Brook which runs right though Boswell Farm.

(We do require the use of barbless hooks and for any fish that are caught to be returned)

  1. Regular Pilates classes are held from the Old Kennels Studios at Boswell Farm.

As a qualified Pilates instructor, Linda Macaulay can advise you on the right class to attend if you so wish. She can also offer one to one sessions, for both beginners and more advanced students, and if required can tailor a complete and personal programme.
