Our stay at Cider House has been wonderful, the weather also. The garden is so pretty, sometimes made leaving it for a day out extremely difficult!....One of the highlights for me was attending Linda Dillon’s Pilates class. Her very airy studio at the Old Kennels is a fabulous location….Our last memory will be sitting on the lakeside bench amid yellow water irises, blue water forget-me-nots, creamy cow-parsley watching the female Mallard and little duckling swimming gently together in the morning light.

We came to Boswell Farm for the third time and we again enjoyed every bit of it! There is so much more to do and we are very sad to leave...

Jim & Jutta - Germany

Leaving today, we will all miss, and Pickle will definitely miss all the woods and fields to run in and of course he'll miss Star. It felt really homey here, so I hope we come back soon!

Amy (age 11) - Reading

Excellent accommodation. All the comforts of home. We have enjoyed our stay. We have had wall to wall sunshine hope to come again. Doggie George has never had it so good.

Thank you so much for arranging everything at the cottages so perfectly for my family last week - even the weather! They were extremely impressed with the standard of the cottages , found them very comfortable and loved the whole environment of Boswell Farm. It was the first time in about 9 years that they had all been together for any time and they got on so well. It was wonderful to see my 8 year old grandson from London getting to know his 9 and 10 year old cousins from Kent and Northern Ireland, and all of them enjoying watching Amy , our 20 month old grand daughter, learning to walk. The week seemed to fly by packed with fun and outdoor activities

Boswell Farm is spread over 45 acres of pasture, arable land and woodland with the delightful Snod Brook running through its heart.

There is a footpath, with rests, that will take you right around the farm - alongside the brook, over bridges, and through the fields with spectacular views of the Sweetcombe and Sid Valleys.

You might see kingfishers, dragonflies, buzzards, foxes, and other Devon wildlife. Amongst the trees and flowers are ancient oaks, willows, and a whole host of delicate wild flowers.

The tennis court has recently been resurfaced to a very high standard, so for practising your game whilst on holiday Boswell Farm is definitely the place to come.

Tennis racquets are available should you require them.

....and remember, the sea is only 2 miles away if you want to take a refreshing dip afterwards!

A recent and very welcome addition at Boswell has been a small adventure playground for children, making Boswell farm an even more delightful place for them to explore and make wonderful and exciting holiday memories.

Boswell has its own small, serene, natural lake, which is maintained as a natural sanctuary for all kinds of wildlife. It is also well stocked for coarse fishing - a peaceful place to enjoy the beauty of nature and fishing.

There are wooden benches if you just want to take in the calm of the water on a warm Devon evening.

It is the perfect place for an afternoon sitting on the shady bank with a fishing rod or a picnic basket - whichever takes your fancy!

If you should prefer and are an experienced angler, there is even fishing available for brown trout in the Snod Brook which runs right though Boswell Farm.

(We do require the use of barbless hooks and for any fish that are caught to be returned)

Regular Pilates classes are held from the Old Kennels Studios at Boswell Farm.

As a qualified Pilates instructor, Linda Macaulay can advise you on the right class to attend if you so wish. She can also offer one to one sessions, for both beginners and more advanced students, and if required can tailor a complete and personal programme.
